WHY ARE MY TAX DOLLARS FIXING A BRIDGE I DON’T USE?!?!?!!?
When Amazon abruptly shut down my Associates account (for a bogus reason), it really hurt the blog fund budget; commissions from that account were actually the main way I was paying hosting costs, amounting to several hundred dollars a month. And now that’s gone. Last month I paid it on a credit card, but I’d hate to keep doing that.
So I need to ask you folks for help. If you can spare a few dollars through PayPal or GoFundMe to help pay the bills, I’d be extremely grateful! Thanks for anything you can give.

If Trump returns to power, his DOJ will ban abortion using the Comstock Act.
Trump’s bible promo is so downright creepy (which means the MAGAts will suck it up like a Hoover)
“Happy Holy Week! Let’s Make America Pray Again. As we lead into Good Friday and Easter, I encourage you to get a copy of the God Bless the USA Bible,” Trump wrote, directing his supporters to a website selling the book for $59.99…
“All Americans need a Bible in their home, and I have many. It’s my favorite book,” Trump said in the video posted on Truth Social. “I’m proud to endorse and encourage you to get this Bible. We must make America pray again...”
Besides a King James Version translation, it includes copies of the U.S. Constitution, the Bill of Rights, the Declaration of Independence and the Pledge of Allegiance, as well as a handwritten chorus of the famous Greenwood song.

BTW, this is what Trump said on his Troof Social site regarding Judge Merchan’s daughter:
“Judge Juan Merchan, a very distinguished looking man, is nevertheless a true and certified Trump Hater who suffers from a very serious case of Trump Derangement Syndrome. In other words, he hates me! His daughter is a senior executive at a Super Liberal Democrat firm that works for Adam ‘Shifty’ Schiff, the Democrat National Committee, (Dem)Senate Majority PAC, and even Crooked Joe Biden.”

Lubbock Loves Porn and We Have Proof!
Oh, Lubbock, home of churches on every corner, wall crosses in restaurants, and blaring Christian rock blasting out of larger speakers in warehouse stores. It’s everything a good and pious person needs in God’s corner of Texas. However, when Sunday school is over everyone is hitting up the porn sites.
The Facts
Lubbock loves porn. I guess that may seem like a strong opinion to you, but I’ll prove it. Lubbock is #1 in Google searches asking the question, “How do I watch porn in Texas?”
Don’t worry though Lubbock, apparently the entire State of Texas is all horned up with a 3500% increase in that particular search. All of this comes down to the boneheaded I.D. law in Texas. The new law requires some age verifications that the porn sites are not interested in complying with. They fear massive fines and more so just shut off access in the Lone Star State.
Teen grabs deputy’s firearm then shoots herself inside LA sheriff’s office lobby: PoliceJust after 7:40 p.m. deputies found a 17-year-old girl knocking on the front door of the station lobby, the agency wrote in a press release.
The deputies walked to the lobby door and the juvenile “lunged into the lobby and reached for the deputy’s holstered firearm and took possession of it,” according to the release.
A struggle took place between the deputies and teenager armed with the deputy’s firearm, the release continues, and during the struggle, the teen suffered from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
…
According to a preliminary investigation by homicide detectives, investigators learned the incident stemmed from “a family disturbance call” deputies from station responded to shortly before the incident.Investigators did not elaborate on the family disturbance and could not immediately be reached by USA TODAY.

That opinion was shared by Elie Mystal and others. The whole case was gamed to ignore standing from the outset, and it is a travesty that the Court even saw the case.
But the Seditious Adjacent Six aren’t above trying to move the goal posts to help the Christian white nationalists at every opportunity, and watch for them to open the door to doing so in the future with the “right” parties with standing to sue. They’ll lay out exactly who has to bring the case, and when they do, they’ll eliminate this channel for seeking abortions, and ultimately eliminate reproductive choice for American women.

You’re going to have multiple insurers. Maersk had hired the ship to carry cargo, but Singapore-based Grace Ocean Pte Ltd owns the ship and it is managed by Synergy Marine Group. All of those parties are likely to have to pay out damages/insurance funds (or seek subrogation from the others I just named).

I don’t think the conservative justices (aside from Alito and Thomas) really have the stomach for tearing down the administrative state and/or the administrative procedure act. Finding standing in a case like this is the open door that would allow that to eventually happen.

I have tossed around the idea that banning or severely limiting access to mifepristone would do more than a blue wave—it might cause serious cracks in our Union. Because I can’t hardly see some governors standing by as mifepristone is no longer available. I suspect some states already have plans to obtain the medication if it’s made illegal.

[DISCLAIMER: IANAEOML] isn’t one (moderately) mitigating factor in the Dali disaster that (apparently) the ship itself and the bulk of its cargo were not “lost”, and can possibly be salvaged? I mean, obviously, any time-sensitive cargo is screwed, but surely something could be saved?

This Court advises counsel that it expects and welcome zealous advocacy and creative lawyering. See Application of Giampa, 147 Mise.2d 397 [Sup Ct, Bronx Cnty April 16, 1990], However, the Court also expects those advocates to demonstrate the proper respect and decorum that is owed
to the courts and its judicial officers and to never forget that they are officers of the court. As such, counsel is expected to follow this Court’s orders. Even “[a] good faith belief that a court order is improper or unlawful will not render the order unlawful nor will it excuse willful disobedience.” Matter of Rankin, 78 Misc3d 337 [Sup Ct, Kings Cnty Jan 3, 2023]. As such, “a court of record has power to punish for a criminal contempt, a person guilty7 of … [w]illful disobedience to its lawful mandate.” Id. citing to Judiciary Law §750(3). This Court emphasizes that it hopes for and fully expects zealous advocacy from counsel as well as spirited contribution from witnesses and parties alike. Nonetheless, the Court expects that the line between zealous advocacy and willful disregard of its orders will not be crossed

The committee announced it was digging into a matter reported to its members on Dec. 11 and it will announce how it will proceed by May 10. Investigations do not indicate that there have been any proven violations of ethics rules.

Last night was interesting regarding the MSNBC response to NBC hiring McDaniel.
Every one of the Monday night MSNBC shows that I watched (Psaki, Maddow, O’Donnell) had a full segment on how much McDaniel was culpable for TFG and Jan 6th.
Maddow also noted that MSNBC head had declared very directly the McDaniel was not to be on any MSNBC show. And that NBC talking heads claiming otherwise were obscuring that point. (Polite speak for the NBC mooks claiming anything else are lying to you.)
It was clearly coordinated within MSNBC and was a very uniform and strong repudiation of NBC’s decision. A subsidiary usually doesn’t speak out so strongly against the owning company and its management. Pretty close to a “die on this hill” “fall on my sword” moment.

Thank you! Yeah, after more than 15 years of good standing with Amazon Associates, they suddenly sent me a notice my account was being closed with this reason:
Your Special Links are appearing as paid/sponsored links or advertisements on search engines platforms. These types of advertisements may be used to send users directly to your Site but cannot be used to send traffic to Amazon.
I have absolutely NEVER bought sponsored links on search engines, for any purpose at all. When I appealed this, someone responded with a form message that assumed I was applying for a new account and had been denied.
I responded to that and requested to have it escalated, and got no reply. Repeated it, still no reply.
And when they did this, I was owed several hundred dollars that their terms of service allow them to NOT pay.
It was a shitty way to treat someone who has sent them many thousands of dollars of purchases for all kinds of products.

With regards to Trump now pitching Lee Greenwood’s bible, let me suggest that Trump was offered a huge cut of the sales from pitching this bible. Oh, and if that bible cost more than $10 to publish, it’s probably too much. Looks like a very cheap leatherette cover, and absolutely ZERO options to customize. Perhaps Greenwood ordered too many of them and is now trying to liquidate, using Trump as the liquidator.
Interestingly, it’s only available in the KJV translation. There was an attempt to publish a version with the NIV (Nearly Infallible Version *snicker*) in 2021, but HarperCollins / Zondervan / Thomas Nelson got a ton of pushback and decided not to license the NIV.
Gah, folks, the only way you should buy this bible is if you see it for $2 at a garage sale. And even then, it’s too expensive.

I wouldn’t own that Bible if you paid me to take it. For one thing, I’m not a big fan of the classic KJV, but in the main, my Bible is a religious document, not a political one.

That is absolutely ridiculous. I got into their affiliate program and people were buying stuff from my link and they kept saying “Nope, don’t qualify to be paid for any of it” so I basically gave up.

And even then, it’s too expensive.

see, we dont have to do anyting about RFK
TFG is on it
Donald Trump’s campaign issued a statement about “environmental whack job” Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and his new running mate, Nicole Shanahan.
Said Trump: “RFK Jr. is an AOC lover and opposes really any human advancement, preferring that we all live in caves by candlelight, except of course supports charging stations for your $150,000 electric car that can only drive a few miles before dying just like his presidential campaign.”
For me, locking tfg up for violating court orders will be considered a real possibility only when there are leaks that NY State is conducting negotiations with the US Secret Service on the logistics of detaining him.

The nation’s two biggest lotteries, Powerball and Mega Millions, are offering a total $2 billion jackpots combined this week. Of course the jackpots get this big because the lottery combinations are almost impossible to get.

He was a garbage truck driver who lived in Jersey. And he picked up garbage in the Bronx or Brooklyn. Back when Brooklyn was hit and miss…The Bronx? Good luck…Had to get up at 2AM and drive to NYC and….
When he spoke on TV he said “I’m not going to quit my job.”
Right there buzzers and sirens should have gone off…..

Thank you! Yeah, after more than 15 years of good standing with Amazon Associates, they suddenly sent me a notice my account was being closed with this reason:
I have absolutely NEVER bought sponsored links on search engines, for any purpose at all. When I appealed this, someone responded with a form message that assumed I was applying for a new account and had been denied.
I responded to that and requested to have it escalated, and got no reply. Repeated it, still no reply.
And when they did this, I was owed several hundred dollars that their terms of service allow them to NOT pay.
It was a shitty way to treat someone who has sent them many thousands of dollars of purchases for all kinds of products.
Does this mean that anyone can shut down another person’s Amazon Associates income by placing an ad with their link on Google?

Make sure you send your money to the right email with PayPal. I sent money to my oldest boy years ago, and it was wrong, and it went to someone with that email.
When I discovered my mistake, PayPal informed me my $250.00 could only be retrieved if the person who got it, gave it back.
Of course I sent off emails to that, and got nothing. I argued with them, and it was probably 2-3 months later I got a call from PayPal God and was told I would get back half or something like that. Had a very sarcastic talk. Made no sense. Just my mistake, I eat it, eff off, bye bye.
