Pournelle was a fascist. Niven’s stuff pre-Jerry was brilliant.

They did a couple of good books together, but then it went pthpthpth.

Larry never recovered from his relationship with Pournelle. He never wrote another really good story.

Lucifer’s Hammer was pretty good, but that was almost 50 years ago.
