You know, all these scholarly conservatives seem to overlook that taking away the rights of the people was never once mentioned anywhere in the founding documents of the nation or the writings of the founders. If anything it’s supposed to be the other way around. Unless my civics classes were full of shit. And yet, any time that there’s a question of limiting the rights of others, it’s nearly always a conservative thing. Voting, equal rights for women, civil rights, etc, all seem to be challenged by conservatives. Unless I am missing something, then I stand corrected.
