All I remember about the mid 80s - we were a single income family with a babe and a massive mortgage (interest rates were off the planet) - there was no spare cash for investing so I know nothing about what the markets were doing.

We had some investments back then, but no need to cash anything out in the near future, so we just kept on keeping on. The big problem with these drops are the people who don’t have the luxury of waiting for value to pick up again.
