Realize what Texas allows now!

You don’t even need to need an abortion. It’s enough for the guy to all ALLEGE you had an abortion, and then he’ll get to depose you, your friends, go through your bank account, harass your family, hell, even harass your employer, to make you and other women essentially unemployable. The only thing potentially putting breaks on this is that someone will need to pay the lawyers to do all this. But there are plenty of rich misogynists willing to fund this. And the Texas statute explicitly removes any remedy for frivolous or vexatious litigation.

The primary purpose of the lawsuit is intimidation, of both women considering abortion, and also an attempt to bully out-of-state abortion providers into refusing to serve Texas residents.
