The interesting thing about Power and Albini is how they both found niches working in extremely different genres by somehow finding a way to convince artists to work with them primarily on the basis of authenticity. Power’s case is even more interesting to me because he was working way the fuck outside what society would normally expect of him as a white dude born in 1952 whose education focused on classical music and jazz.

All of this history, by the way, is what AI is promising to steal from us humans who grew up and are used to living in a human fucking civilization.

Just in case, y’know, you haven’t quite yet figured why what AIs produce isn’t “art.”
