Robert Stacy McCain’s Neo-Nazi Friend Is Ordered to Pay $545,000

US News • Views: 7,073

Bill WhiteRobert Stacy McCain’s neo-Nazi pal Bill White, who McCain met at a 2002 conference of the white nationalist group American Renaissance, is currently serving a two and a half year sentence for intimidating two of the plaintiffs in a civil case and threatening two other people. On Friday in Roanoke, Virginia, White lost that civil suit and has been ordered to pay more than a half million dollars in damages: Neo-Nazi White’s vitriol costs him $545,000.

Hateful words can carry a high price — $545,000 in the case of racist rabble-rouser William A. White.

That was the amount a jury awarded in damages against White on Friday after hearing testimony about how he directed racial slurs and veiled threats against five black women who filed a discrimination lawsuit against their white landlord in Virginia Beach.

As the commander of a now-defunct neo-Nazi organization in Roanoke, White became so angry when he learned of the lawsuit in May 2007 that he fired off letters to the women that began: “Dear Whiney Section 8 N——-.”

It was a tactic that White — described by one hate watch group as perhaps America’s loudest and most obnoxious neo-Nazi — employed for years against countless targets before he was jailed in 2008 on charges of making racially motivated threats.

White is serving a two-and-a-half-year sentence. Any hopes he holds of resuming a white supremacy movement upon his release appeared dashed by Friday’s civil verdict.

Robert Stacy McCainBill White is also known at LGF for being a friend of white supremacist blogger Robert Stacy McCain; when McCain worked for the Washington Times, he was responsible for getting several pieces by White published in the newspaper. And McCain frequently posted articles from White’s racist hate site overthrow.com at FreeRepublic, using the name “BurkeCalhounDabney” — a pseudonym based on the name of an infamous pro-slavery Confederate apologist.

Robert Stacy McCain continues to be linked frequently in the right wing blogosphere, and continues to write for the American Spectator, Hot Air, and Pajamas Media, despite his open associations with neo-Nazis and white supremacists and his own overtly racist statements.

Here are a few of the LGF posts documenting Robert Stacy McCain’s connections to Bill White, who also threatened me and tried to find my home address and the addresses of my family members:

They didn't throw the book at him; they threw a whole frickin' encyclopedia. Good for the jury.

Do you think it is accidental that the cartoon drawing of White looks a little like G.W. Bush?

Suing Nazis works really really well, especially since they can't resist illegal activity. That's basically how they got the Aryan Nations out of Idaho.

It's actually McCain, not Bill White. Maybe I should add a caption.

That's funny - I saw the picture and said, "that sorta looks like Clinton". God's honest truth. I guess that's a little age-ist, isn't it? "All over-50 men look the same..."

Joe Williams piano player wrote that for him. Some of my favorite lines:

"Its not easy being white. They can pick you off too easy in the night."

and

"The only one who calls you brother is your mothers other son."

re: #22 Big Steve

If lawhawk is out there...what are the chances of White winning upon appeal on something like this?

He could appeal, which would have the effect of staying the verdict pending the appeal, but he would have to have grounds on which to appeal. Was there something procedural in error? Was there an error in the application of the law or the jury instructions. None of that appears to be the case here, so it will likely stand.

29 cliffster  Mon, Aug 30, 2010 11:55:48am

I wish there would be some criminal action against him for openly plotting to "hunt down and conduct actions against" Charles, et al.

As long as the jugged fish is halibut I do not have any issue with that...

The man is standing there in that picture in brown shirt with a swastika armband and giving a perfect Nazi salute.

So in what way is he a "neo-Nazi" and not just a Nazi?

I am so sick of the minimizing "neo" being stuck in front of the appropriate word for these people, I will bring it up every time I see it.

I think the "Neo" is to point out that, unlike the actual Nazis, these people are (so far) failures at achieving any actual power.

Well the neo is there I think because lots of the people who are neo-nazis, wouldn't have qualified as actual nazis.

Bill White would have. He even has the right surname.

To me he is a Nazi, plain and simple. And that, I'm sure, is about the only thing on which he and I would agree.

I know that what I am about to write is a little borderline. However, I'll just say it.

If I ever see some dick wad in a Nazi uniform, giving a little heil Hitler salute, I will, as a large Jewish man, knock out as many of his teeth as I can with one punch.

48 Rishonah  Mon, Aug 30, 2010 8:11:47pm

It seems to me that if you are so egregious that you are called "America's loudest and most obnoxious Neo-Nazi," that you have really worked hard for the prize, considering the competition for that vaunted description.

It's ok Bill, we're not laughing with you, we're laughing at you.

I have no problem with that. If the cops ask who did it, I'll quote our fellow Jew, the late John Banner--

"I see nothing. I hear nothing..."
