If CPAC isn’t crazy enough for you, right across the street Breitbart is hosting “Uninvited II: The National Security Action Summit”.
So if you miss seeing Louis Gohmert, Frank Gaffney, Steve King, Newt Gingrich, and a whole host of others who didn’t make the CPAC cut, this is for you.

The stench emanating from that much bullshit piled that high has to be breaking some air quality standards. Votive? Particulates? Soot? Methane? Just plain old STANK? What a conglomerate of ignoramus.

I wish these people would leave my city alone. Agh and their young ones will probably ruin the otherwise decent bar scene too.

That’s a stretch.

Ken Cuccinelli’s seminar sounds interesting if not for the fact that it’s probably juts him whining about the media and ignoring that he did everything possible to alienate Virginia voters who weren’t batshit insane.

Three sessions of note:
How to fend off a Tea Party opponent.
How to challenge a RINO.
Why we can’t count to 218 votes.
So, the first two go to No True Conservative (or more generally, No True GOPer), and the third goes to basic math. The GOP is a divided caucus, with the extortionist right fighting anything that resembles politics - namely governing as a responsible party, and instead demand a scorched earth all or nothing agenda starting with the ongoing demands to repeal the ACA (50 failed attempts and counting).

Oh joy, more we would have won if we ran a true conservative claptrap. Here’s a clue CPAC. America doesn’t want your “conservatism” anymore. We don’t want to hear about how big government is bad but yet you want that same government to deport kids who have been here their whole lives pretty much, that same government to deny gay couples equality under the law, etc. Your conservatism is toxic, read toxic to the average American. You may have a shot if you drop the stupid bigotry but nah you’re too attached to the RR’s asshole to stand up for what’s right.

It’s entertaining in the sense of watching a freak make an ass of himself. And the surprise finale is not to be missed:
After Nugent has spoken for three minutes of how tough and ready to fight “gang bangers” with his guns, a black actor dressed as a “gang banger” runs on stage with a prop gun. Whereupon The Nuge soils himself. Again.

It is a freakshow yet somehow the show continues to go on. I don’t know about you but if I were a conservative, I’d be horrified that most representatives of my ideology were in attendance at what pretty much resembles an old time racist minstrel show.

A Freeper’s take on democracy in general:
“George Will persists in believing that the solution is to elect the right people. The point of the Mark Levin approach is that the system itself swamps “the right people” and we have put Republicans in office and given the majorities in the Senate and the House as we did under president George W. Bush and we got the second most spendthrift administration in American history before Barack Obama.”
If your side is “swamped by the system”, perhaps it’s time to realize that you are in the minority.

“Leonid Pilunsky, a member of the [Crimean] regional parliament who opposes the pro-Russian authorities, said he and other lawmakers were not summoned for Thursday’s vote and were certain not enough members would have been present for a quorum.”
Proud to be Ukrainians, many in Crimea face future in fear

They just can’t handle the fact that the Reagan Revolution is over. It’s not different from lefties who couldn’t accept the end of the New Deal era except they weren’t being bigoted jackals about it- just camels with their head in the sand.

At first, I though this was a parody. But after reading the whole thing, I realize it is just a draft and hasn’t been edited yet by committee for re-branding.

re: #26 calochortus
Indeed.
Let’s be honest here. If Reagan had the charisma of Mitt Romney, Reagan would have never been Reagan. Reagan’s charisma masked a lot of the faults with the new right’s worldview and that’s why only once since 1988 has a Republican nominee gotten over 50% of the vote. I’m not including 1988 itself by the way since Bush I was running directly off of Reagan’s coattails and had been a part of said admin.

Yes (it’s posted under Humor), but the Breitbart Program of Events isn’t.
31 | Backwoods_Sleuth Thu, Mar 6, 2014 10:48:15am |
I just checked out the real 32-page program of events over at the CPAC website.
I am greatly amused at how many times they managed to misspell “Honorable”.
Also greatly amused that Sarah Palin is the last scheduled speaker. She starts speaking at 6:03 p.m. The Union Station shuttle ends at 6:00 p.m.
heh.
