A jury trying two people in relation to the resale of tickets to a range of events at inflated prices has heard the lengths to which Ed Sheeran’s management has gone to combat the secondary ticketing market.

Statements from Sheeran’s manager Stuart Camp were read at Leeds Crown Court on Wednesday at the trial of Lynda Chenery and Mark Woods, who are charged with fraudulent trading in relation to the activities of the firm TQ Tickets Ltd.

Mr Camp explained how Sheeran’s concert tours had a strict ticket pricing policy aimed at “keeping ticket prices accessible for as many people as possible”.

He said the demand for tickets was extremely high and they could be sold at very high prices but “we don’t want our tickets to be beyond some people”.

Not all of them.

Tucker Carlson is coming to liberate Canada from the tyranny of Justin Trudeau.

That my country allows a drug dealer enter is sad. That the premier of a province will appear on stage with him is sickening.

Nanome is a company that uses AR/VR tools to permit researchers to actively and collaboratively examine, in real time, large protein structures.

Nanome: The Ultimate Interface for Science

Check about 60 seconds in.

I spent most of my career dealing with mutating protein molecules so I dealt with 3d representations a lot. Seeing what these people have is amazing. And they are excited about Apple Vision Pro (I expect that have an active development department). It solves many problems they have had problems with.

Think about what it would be like to have a collaborative meeting in a virtual world where 3D representations of the products/research can be manipilated. And you do not see avatars of people but the actual people. God, I would have loved to have had that.

Melanie, the chart-topping folk singer of “Brand New Key” and “Lay Down (Candles in the Rain)” who performed at the Woodstock festival in 1969, died on Tuesday. She was 76.

Billy James, the singer’s rep, confirmed her death to Rolling Stone, but did not provide a cause of death. “We are heartbroken, but want to thank each and every one of you for the affection you have for our Mother, and to tell you that she loved all of you so much!,” the children of the singer born Melania Safka wrote in a statement.

“She was one of the most talented, strong and passionate women of the era and every word she wrote, every note she sang reflected that,” the statement continued. “Our world is much dimmer, the colors of a dreary, rainy Tennessee pale with her absence today, but we know that she is still here, smiling down on all of us, on all of you, from the stars.”

Chris Christie: _Banned_ ”Conversion” Therapy when he was governor.

Christie was just a giant gaping asshole, as opposed to being a giant gaping asshole whole is also a bigot, rapist, traitor, omni-corrupt etc. That’s why he’s one of the best Republicans around (talk about a miserably low bar).

I think the main difference between Trump and other Republican candidates is that Trump is an authentic pig-person, resentful to the core.

Other Republicans always seem to need the secret decoder ring when pandering to the GOP base.

Currently we’ve gotten almost 4 FEET of snow on the ground, the streets are covered in packed snow, and the street drains are nowhere to be seen, and we get this as our forecast:

…RAIN AND RISING FREEZING LEVELS THROUGH THE WEEKEND…
After a 2 day break, a warm front will cause precipitation to
track back into the region from south to north on Friday. A wind
shift to the south at all levels will allow warming temperatures
through the northern inner channels Friday into Saturday.
Meanwhile, snow/freezing levels will steadily rise. By Saturday
morning freezing levels over the City of Haines will likely have
risen to around 2,000 feet, while the Juneau area will have risen
to nearly 3,000 feet. During Sunday, these values top out at over
3,000 feet for Haines and over 4,000 feet for Juneau and
surrounding areas.
Rainfall totals over this 3 day period are likely to exceed 2
inches across all of SE Alaska and may exceed 4 inches in Juneau.
Rainfall will come in surges with heaviest rates currently
expected on Sunday.

Does anyone know where Noah put the plans for the boat?
(Oh, it’s already started to warm up.)

No — he’s a real racist. tampabay.com

He fought to keep former felons from voting. You could argue that his views were just because he thought it would harm his electoral prospects — that his support for Dennis Prager and Christopher Rufo and his efforts to undermine teaching about the evils of slavery were just to appeal to his base. But I don’t really think that flies — he is a native born Floridian in a state that was part of the Confederacy. Given his behavior over the years, there is no reason to believe that he is anything other than an actual racist, as opposed to pretending to be one.

I certainly won’t die on this hill. He’s a terrible human being and I don’t personally think it makes a person worse to be an authentic racist vs an opportunistic one. In many ways, I consider pandering to racists when you’re not one to be a bigger evil. But I am open to the idea.

Charlie Jerk’s next target—Hospitals.

On his ThoughtCrime podcast, Kirk, while breaking away from a script for at-home health meds, revealed that he plans to attacks the American hospital system in an upcoming show. Kirk instructed his MAGA Republican audience not to visit hospitals for their medical needs:

“I have a whole, I’m not there yet unfortunately because it’s still ongoing. I’m going to a whole show on the things I’ve learned in the American hospital system. You do not want to go to a hospital. You do not want to go to a hospital, everybody.”
