Those are white supremacists, and I don't think they are there to "defend" Occupy Phoenix.

The video was made by an Oathkeeper. It was uploaded to YouTube by this Paulian freak.

Google J. T. Ready, Freedoms Phoenix, Ernest Hancock, and if you need more, let me know.

The "Paulian freaks" are definitely trying to make the Occupy groups into their own, as witnessed by the Fed playing a roll in some of the protest signs or claims by those who say they are part of the Occupy crowd.

They see the "Occupy" rallies as recruiting grounds. Ernest Hancock said that to Adam Kokesh in a recent video of his.

re: #3 wrenchwench

Yup. They are there to tap into the group dynamic, of the general dissatisfaction and the anarchic vibe.

Mega whoops then. I took it at it's word to start with from another (lefty at that) sight. Oh well that's my mistake. Should I delete this?

...Occupy Wall Street: Strike The Root! aims to speak to these people. They are already disillusioned with the Statist Quo. They know things are messed-up. But many (- not all!) focus their attention on berating corporations and banks. Do people operating corporations and banks do fucked up shit? Yes. But that’s only due to the existence of the great fiction of the State. It’s just classic rent-seeking.
Can YOU make a video that communicates the ideas of
complete liberty to those at the Occupy Wall Street protests? Do it!
If you’re following the Occupy Wall Street developments you understand the protest and its potential. You know that almost without exception those on the ground are driven by noble intentions, to live in a freer, more prosperous world. Through video, communicate to them how that is best achieved. ...

Fortunately, they only got one taker for their video contest.

Thirty-one days ago individuals gathered in a lower Manhattan urban park to express their disillusionment with the Statist Quo. Initially ignored by the lamestream media, the Occupy Wall Street (OWS) movement has spread to over 1,000 cities worldwide and can no longer be ignored. And (at least for now) it’s decentralized, which means potential for the spread of new and better ideas.

A couple of weeks ago, Cop Block teamed-up with Strike The Root, Freedoms Phoenix and Liberty On Tour to share ideas through the “Occupy Wall Street: Strike The Root!” video contest.

The goal was to communicate a consistent, rights-respecting and prosperity-maximizing framework to individuals on the ground with OWS so they could grasp how the “99%” was arrived at and positive next-steps. In other words, to replace the bad idea of looking to someone else as a leader (and thus granting them the “right” do engage in things wrong for me or you) with the good idea of self-ownership (and with it freedom and responsibility).

Thanks to the sponsoring organizations listed above and a donation by Blake Thessing $400 was up for grabs. I did my best to promote the video contest and had was told from some that they planned to submit videos but in the end, we got only one video submission, from Drew Phillips. So, congrats Drew, you took it all! ...

Maybe edit to show how whoever posted it at that lefty site was fooled.

And to show OWS supporters who is trying to recruit them.

Oh, great. I'm having trouble editing. The edit box is bigger than the window on Chrome and I can't get to the post button.

If you can see the lower right corner of the posting box, grab it and shrink the box until the buttons under it come into view.

Not working. I can't get to the bottom with Chrome or Firefox. Next is safari. Perhaps I'll have to report myself and have Charles nuke the page from orbit.

Or fix the edit box problem. You aren't the first to encounter it.

Nope, for Safari as well. It's gotta be the odd resolution of the Macbook causing fits (1280x800). Time to let Charles know.

14 William Barnett-Lewis  Mon, Oct 31, 2011 5:44:18pm

Ok, sent the boss a message about this mistake.

I also got a hearty "so what" from the lefty site I got it from. Enemy of my enemy crap basically. Sorry but snuggling with Nazis is never on my list of fun Halloween activities.

15 Charles Johnson  Mon, Oct 31, 2011 9:13:02pm

Try it now...

16 William Barnett-Lewis  Tue, Nov 1, 2011 5:29:13pm

Fixed and a I am greatly appreciative of that.

Oh and bringing back your information about the source ended up leading to a multipage discussion on their merits and overall most concluded that they didn't want them there and pointed to Occupy Seattle and Portland where they have worked hard to keep the White Supremacists out. So one good thing out of this...
