Why do you have a problem with it?

Seems to be that he is using the PAGES idea properly. The concept as I understood it was to be able to create your own blog.

This is abuse of the pages. The idea of PAGES is for members of LGF to create their own sub-blogs here in order to discuss with other members. A spambot which does nothing but spam links to an external blog without participating in the conversation is abusing LGF.

I disagree. I use the pages to share stories of interest to me that I believe others may like to read. Whether anyone discusses those stories is another matter entirely. I wish that they would, but my sense of self-worth is not diminished if they do not. Likewise, I find most of Aigle’s posts of interest. I would generally not go out and read the CAMERA site directly. So I appreciate the posts.

It’s not the number of comments PER PAGE, it’s the number of comments per PERSON, which in this bot’s case is ZERO. Zip, nada, goose egg, not one.

People here do not like aigle because it has never made a single comment or even an article excerpt from the links that it spams from Camera. It is an abuse of this forum by the Camera blog.

There are people behind this. I simply think it is rude to auto post to a discussion blog without participating at all. You can get an auto feed from the same sources if that is what you want to see.

Well, I don’t think that it is a good idea to make Rudeness disqualify them either. In my experience, make that a rule and this site will lose a lot of posters….heh.

We do all know that there is a human being behind CAMERA right? I mean they have automated the process, but there is a lizard at the other end.

For me it comes down to this, Andrea Levin is responding to the media’s “general anti-Israel bias”.

You either want to support their battle, or fight against them.

I stand with them.

The whole point is to post good content. We should judge them by the content they post.

I don’t support using the Pages to pimp another site without engaging the commenters here, especially if no content is added beyond what is linked. That goes for anyone.

You don’t even know if this bot is male or female.

CAMERA is not one of my sources for information. I support Israel’s right to exist. I support anyone who wishes for and strives for peace between Israel and the Palestinians. I don’t support the expansion of the settlements.

Who said anything about being with them or against them?

Let me make a suggestion. You, Buck, can subscribe to Camera and ask them to be their front man on LGF. Then you can post pages to your heart’s content, and add your commentary. Then we will see whether people tend to agree or disagree.
