So, Rumsfeld admits he’s dumber than a “trained ape”?

Always on Fox. Nonstop. 24/7. Fodder for the imbeciles.

Who cares what this dead - ender has to say? He exists to support a failed subculture based on violence, ignorance, and superstition.

a trained ape would have realized saddam had no weapons of mass destruction…

but i digress…..

Because your boss’s foreign policy skills were so enviable right Donny?

Hey Rummy, how’s the hunt for them WMDs, dipshit?

Is it even remotely possible that Rumsfeld was totally unaware of the racist implications in a statement like this?

Highly doubtful.

Coming from Donald Rumsfeld, I’d take criticism of my foreign policy as a compliment. It means Obama’s doing everything right.

And would it really be all that great to have a SOFA with someone as corrupt as Karzai?

Rumsfeld is a very bitter, and now very old, man. Remember: he’s the one who got thrown under the bus (fired) the day after the 2006 midterms, when both houses of Congress flipped from R to D, largely due to the war’s unpopularity.

Like Cheney, he can’t admit he made mistakes and will spend his sad final years desperately trying to convince anyone who will listen that his Iraq policy was a success.

Seriously. The Bush FP was a reverse of the old how to make friends and influence people. It was more how to lose friends and alienate people. Rumsfeld is just angry because he knows that Gates, then Panetta, and now Hagel have cleaned up alot of his messes.

He’s really criticizing Obama’s foreign policy regarding Afghanistan? Isn’t that the country that he pulled most military forces out of to stage a war in Iraq that was sold to Congress and the US people on a pack of lies that he knowingly told? And now he has the gall to complain about the current administration’s attempts to clean up his mess?

Yep. Ain’t being a conservative great? You get to tell other people to take personal responsibility while taking none for yourself.

Jamelle Bouie moved to Slate and I dislike two of his three articles to date. I haven’t finished the third one. He defends Rummy.

No, Donald Rumsfeld Wasn’t Calling Obama a “Trained Ape”

[…]

he was using a favorite phrase, not whistling to the racists.

if only being called a racist was the worst charge rumsfeld needed defense from.

somehow any attempt to defend rumsfeld seems - sad?

Ronald Dumsfeld said that? This Ronald Dumsfeld? Really?

How does this man have a platform?
There is no time he opens his mouth that this picture should not be trotted out.
