Just because we want to take away your right to your own body, limit or eliminate your access to birth control, pay you wages that are 1/2 of what a man doing the same work receives, and believe you need a man to make decisions for you, doesn’t mean we don’t love you.

Signed,

The GOP

P.S. There’s no War on Women.

Where are women paid half what a man doing the same work earns? Any rational employer would fire all the men and use an all-woman workforce if he could swing that, but then there’d be no basis for comparison.

Competition in the marketplace ensures that wage differentials get closed up unless there’s a real difference in the work. Things that sometimes get discounted are the premium that employers must pay for dangerous work, odd hours, night shifts, etc.

My daughter could give you an earful about why she’s not actually underpaid, because she prefers the sane lifestyle that attends a few percent less dollars.

If only the Republicans could explain to these women that they are wrong, their votes would come flooding in.

Republicans: “Women are wrong.”

Republicans just commissioned a poll to figure out how to remain the minority party for another six years.

it is the sheer amount of abject cynicism and earnest dishonesty that defines the right wing and Libertarians and how they operate that drove me away from their infantile groupthink 20 years ago.

Republican Groupthink: “How can we get people to vote against their own self-interest? “

re: #4 lostlakehiker

Not all liberals think women get paid half of what men do.
My problem with the party is the fact Libertarians and right wing religious nuts run it now.

re: #4 lostlakehiker

I’m sure her anecdotal experience is that of all women.
Her/your argument is about as relevant and accurate as saying that women are paid half that of men for the same work.

That’s not republican group-think - that’s republican tactics.

Reading the Republican’s article about the hypothetical woman, its remarkable how clueless he is. He imagines the GOP’s problem is the anxiety of single white professionals whose net worth is in seven figures? What a tiny sliver of the electorate! There are huge numbers of single women, many with children and without a degree, who have actual needs, and the GOP has nothing to offer them.

I saw a tweet the other day that stated (paraprased) “Billionaires think poverty is an urban legend.”

I think this applies to much of what we hear about single female head of house-holds working minimum wage jobs.
