So Obama’s driving the gun companies out of business, which will make his takeover of Amerikkka complete!!

I figured this out when I found a January 1945 M1 Carbine for $400 late summer/early fall. That’s 1/2 (possibly less than) the going price (still) on Gunbroker for a basic average Inland shooter. I laughed, grabbed & ran.

Now if only there’d actually be powder available again …

I guess school massacres have become so common that they can’t goose gun sales anymore. It’s become obvious that the U.S. now simply accepts that some of our children will be gunned down at school, and no-one even makes a gesture toward stopping the madness.

Its the free market at work. The firearms market is saturated right now, and that’s going to mean a drop in production to bring production in line with demand. Drops in stock prices and business cycles are normal things, as Hayek and Friedman pointed out.

Once again you miss the point by a mile. For years, your party has helped stoke fears that the Obama admin. was going to confiscate guns by the millions. And the TP rubes believed it and stocked up on everything. Now that the hysteria has died down a bit, sales have plummeted.

This bizarre situation is NOT the typical free market operation discussed by Hayek and Friedman (and a million other economists, including those not worshipped by the far right).

Once again, your fetish for guns has made you defensive, and off target in your analysis.
