This is what happens when you try to design an aircraft that fills multiple roles. It does none of them well. Plus, to put it bluntly, manned aircraft are obsolete. RPVs and semi-autonomous aircraft are what the winners of the next air war will be flying.

Sorry, jet jockeys. You’re obsolete.

1) reopen the A-10 line
2) absorb tac air back into the Army.
3) give the Strategic mission to the Navy. 4) make the zoomies pilot drones instead of manned fighters.
5) save lots of money.

Reopen the F-22 ine as well. If you are going to make a fighter for air superiority…”not a pound for air to ground”

The A-10 is the first and last word in ground attack. Let it do its job and the F-22 do its job…

One fighter for all services is and was a horrible idea. “Money saving” at its worst.

The never ending search for “all in one box.” Uh…..Nope. Stealth, but once you are seen you are…..Gone. As in shot down. Brilliant.
