$7000 with one decent lens. Still, if Metabones ever perfects its EOS to Sony adapter, Canon will be reduced to being a Sony lens producer and not much more. I say this as a person who has used Canon gear for decades.

Sadly, like Nikon, Canon is just watching the parade march by.

They missed mirrorless, late to 4k, never made wireless sensible, and the Sony looks to be as good a video camera or better than the C series. But still not sorry to have bought the old D30, 40D, 7D, and 7DII over many years.

Canon/Nikon missing mirrorless may end up costing them the way missing digital cost Kodak.

On the other hand, cell phones may kill off the entire industry except for the pros/advanced amateurs. They’ve already killed off most of the camera stores other than the big mail order houses, which is a real shame.
