We Should Not Need to Fight for Good Public Health Rules
So where are we as vaccination credentials are required at some places? Our rules call for proof of vaccination at restaurants etc. Exactly the locations where we will ordinarily need to take our masks off to eat or drink! Or be crowded within one another’s air, like yoga classes.
Los Angeles seems to be struggling with COVID. About 71% of us are fully vaccinated to begin with. At some point some of us should drop from that category until boosted. Our new case numbers have not fallen for a month. We had a high of 20,000ish new per day last December. Then we got down to well under 200 per day in May and June. Our Summer surge peaked at about 6000 per day. Delta I think. Now we seem stuck between 1000 and 2000. Weakening immunity?

So I took a look at positivity.
That seems to make sense. In a dreadful way. Fits with a stubbornly high hospitalization rate.
After all this, about 15% of us have had this. 1.5 million cases, 10 million population in the county. The fight goes on, sure would be easier if we did not have to fight one another for every health tool available. Breakthroughs happen.
