Of course, that’s the reason why the bad people oppose immigration. They don’t want Others (tm) to better themselves, because they believe that economics is a zero-sum game, and that Others (tm) bettering themselves must necessarily come at the expense of The Right People (tm). They simply cannot process the idea that economics is not adversarial, and that poor people getting to a better situation brings improvements for everybody.
