So it’s Uber vs City of Houston. The city is telling Uber drivers that they have to pass fingerprint background checks just like all other taxi and limo drivers. They gotta play by the same rules. Uber is saying fuck that, we’ll pull out of the city if we have to follow those rules.

I’ve never used Uber so I don’t have any gravy on those taters but my feeling is that the city is right and there should be equitable observance of rules and regs.
