Not sure what this has to do with “states rights” issues. Seems more of a nativist kind of thing. That being said, what the hell are the damn Italians supposed to think? German, French, Greek, but no Italian?

Not sure what you are talking about. This is a issue between the state of Alabama and the federal government. The reason for the multiple language test is because the feds mandate certain things in order to receive federal funding. The state thinks it has the right to ignore this… never mind, I’m not going to rewrite the whole article for you, did you even read the article from beginning to end?
