Looks have to be secondary to sound. In some cases it’s the scratches and dents that cause the sound.

It was in great shape when I got it - it belonged to a teenage girl who got it for a birthday present and had absolutely no interest in it.

I’m proud to say I put every mark in it myself. Guitars don’t stay in pristine condition too long around here. :)
