A newspaper that I have freelanced (photography) for for sixteen years is reportedly (not officially, but I have no reason to doubt it) not going to be using any freelancers of any kind anymore. No one at said paper has reached out to me or other photographers to inform us of this. I understand that I am not an employee, but I’m kind of pissed off about not being contacted about this because if I had known I could’ve made other arrangements for other possible clients. Am I wrong?
