Someone explain to me like I’m a child how a defederated Mastodon instance, in this case Twoof Soshul, can have a market cap of like $8 billion on NASDAQ. It just… doesn’t seem above board. A fool and their money, etc. etc.

Think of it like the GameStop debacle, but the thing they’re buying and holding is worth even less in reality.
