It’s amazing how many Americans feel free to simply disagree with established science. Don’t believe in vaccines? No problem! No such thing as global warming? Fine. Yes, the grand Canyon is 6000 years old. No, there’s no reason to think that embryonic stem-cell research will actually help treat cancer. Meanwhile, countries like Iran have a much more serious attitude towards science; they know it correlates to national power.
