facebook is not a utility. dont assume it’s always gonna be there. or even in 5 minutes.

if you’re gonna rely on an online service for political or any other purpose, have a back up plan if you lose access or control of it

it doesnt matter why you lost access. facebooks fault, your isp, the local phone lines, or anything else.

if it matters, have a plan B

That doesn’t give you the excuse to complain about being a conservative victim of evil liberal speech suppression though.

On that issue of common law, my own marriage would be considered common law (and over half the US states would not recognise it), because my wife and I simply exchanged vows (sort of) in a ghost town in Colorado with no witnesses or officiants. Just us and aspen trees (and a chipmunk).

What makes it recognized across the country (and the world) is the piece of paper that Saguache County, Colorado issued, not our word for it.
