Yep. We’ve had a lot of those. Cuccinneli. As bad as McDonnell is, probably the least evil one we got. Still disappointed that Creigh Deeds ran such a terrible campaign though I think he was right about McDonnell’s views on LGBT and women.

And McDonnell got to play the moderate despite saying that a lesbian judge shouldn’t be allowed to remain a judge because she was guilty of sodomy.

He never did answer the reporter’s question about whether he had ever committed sodomy.

“It certainly raises some questions about the qualifications to serve as a judge,” he told the Daily Press’s Terry Scanlon. “There is certain homosexual conduct that is in violation of the law… I’m not telling you I would disqualify a judge per se if he said he was gay. I’m talking about their actions.”

That’s not even the most absurd part of the story, though. When Scanlon asked McDonnell if he had ever committed sodomy, the Republican answered, “Not that I can recall.”
