If that holds in the November election, that 20% of GOP voters will either stay home or possibly vote for a different candidate, Trump is screwed. He simply cannot afford to lose such a significant percentage of the Republican Party’s voters.

Hell, even if 15% of GOP voters say, “Fuck this guy” and stay home, Trump will go down in flames.

I’ve a very strong suspicion that, much like the polling across the pond, a lot polling here assumes that all those who are answering either “Don’t Know” or “Uncommitted” will break for Trump on Election Day. Because I find it really doubtful he can lose 15%+ of the GQP vote in November and expect to make up enough of that in “Independent” votes to break even.
