Jesse Lee Peterson is often characterised as low in intelligence due to his speech patterns. That is not the case. He was born with a cleft palette which was not corrected by surgery until age six. As such, his speech development was affected and he has not been able to overcome that difficulty.

I had to bite my tongue almost a year ago, one of my friends was bitterly complaining that Trump fanatics were being called “Christian nationalists”, and I was thinking in the back of my head, “But you are, though… If the shoe fits…”
