He was hip, slick and affable but sorry, still white trash
Mr. w used to tell me that ‘white trash’ was the equivalent of the n word for white people who were just as low as Black people in the eyes of the ‘public’. I would not let him use the word ‘trash’ for people, until he finally convinced me that he felt people saw him that way since he was a kid, so it was part of his identity.
I still think it’s wrong to call humans ‘trash’.
