Oh, I pointed out the EIA stats too. He’s just so tight into the ODS that he can’t realize that fracking expansion has hit the coal industry hard. Jobs created in places like PA, the Dakotas, etc. over Marcellus and Bakken fields have meant coal mines in places like WV have shuttered because it isn’t cost effective.

If natural gas prices rise above coal prices for comparable quantities, then the situation would reverse. But that’s not likely to happen anytime soon.
