The House of Saud is simply trying to stay in power. They have succeeded so far but the foundation that they are resting on is eroding.

Of course, that’s apparent. My own instinct is to condemn royalty and urge democratic solutions. But are the radicals winning hearts and minds with their tactics? It seems fairly contradictory to the situation there when you see this (not that I trust Putin & Co). But it just seems like mass slaughter is no solution, either, from either side.
