Actually I believe that McCain-Palin could have eked out a narrow victory in 2008, but the September meltdown pretty much buried McCain. Obama’s lack of experience was beginning to resonate with the electorate, and McCain was ahead till September 14,2008. But the more important difference is that MSM covered for Obama but they will savagely attack any GOP candidate. So the GOP candidate should not have any skeletons in the closet.
