Then during the phone call at first she gives a general example: “even when we think about temperature, it’s Celsius and Fahrenheit”, and so on. It’s an example of what is different between different countries. Then she asks whether difference in training (not in measuring systems) might have been responsible.

There is never any implication of causality on the part of the measuring systems.
