Danced around the Franken one I see, which is funny because before he was elected you would have called him fringe, but now that Democrats have voted for him to be a Senator, does that mean he’s mainstream now? Is he any less of a hack than he was before he was senator Hack? Carter is a raving anti-semite, and blames the entirety of the middle east problem on Israel, so again if that is mainstream, there isn’t much room to the left of that. Pelosi’s a little more of a chameleon, but she owes her vote to the fringe left of San Francisco, even if she herself is a household name.

If you are going to throw out Bachman and Palin, then Carter and Pelosi are far more fringe than those two.
