Maybe you’re right, although Silver’s professed support for Republicans makes that less likely. But then, not since Election Night 2004 has a Republican led the national Presidential race for any period of time, and most of these modelers, including Silver, haven’t been around that long.

I have no idea what you’re talking about. Nate’s a liberal gay man with slight libertarian leanings. Any bias he has at this point is towards making money off the election, and that means selling a horserace.
