Well, I have heard of extremists crucifying Christians accused of proselytizing by tying them to a number of motor cars and pulling them apart.

I’ve heard accounts of Russian troops doing that to Chechen snipers as well.

Burning Bibles, I don’t know. The prophets of Judaism and Christianity are considered important prophets in Islam, and forerunners to Mohammed, but that may not matter when people are freaking out.
