No offense, but I’m sort of curious why those getting the vapors over the use of “****” don’t bat an eye if (for example) I were to call Trump a “dick.” Both are slang terms for genitalia, but one gets nods of agreement while the other leads (at best) to uncomfortable silence or (at worst) howls of outrage and a lot of lecturing.

“Dick” is banned in my workplace because it horrifies one of the women in my department.
