A lot of newer paper is actually much worse than older, and decays faster, because it’s got a lot more acid resident in the paper.

There’s special acid-free paper that’s used for documents that are expecting to be preserved.

You know, you’d expect technology to improve over the thousands of years we’ve been putting things in writing.
