It’s a stupid comment too. Blackface was seen how it is now by most people in the 70’s and 80’s especially in the New York burbs she grew up in. She just did what she did at FNC. Give people who think this is okay an out. IDGAF if it was once acceptable. When my Dad’s parents were kids, lynching post cards were a thing and they never tried to justify the treatment of African Americans because of that. Kelly is a creep selling bigoted nostalgia to people who refuse to get with reality.

When I was in high school, a bunch of Black kids put on whiteface as a promotion for a school production of the play Day of Absence. This was 50 years ago. We knew that for white kids to go in blackface was bad, mmkay.
