Treason? I think you’re going way too far there. Are they assholes? Are they idiots? Yes and yes but treason is a bridge too far. Just saying because I remember how much I hated any disagreement with Bush was labeled that way.

Being outraged by something is no reason to abandon rule of law (and in this particular case, the explicit definition of ‘treason’ in the Constitution). Treating outrage as justifying everything is a bad mistake for liberals to make, because RWNJs have perfected the art of being outraged by everything, 27 hours a day.
