Have any of you heard about Artur Davis the former Democratic congressman from Alabama? Apparently he switched parties and is speaking or has spoken already. Anyhow, the guy just strikes me as a blatant opportunist. He got beat in a landslide when he ran for governor in Alabama but has since moved to Northern Virginia to run as a Republican for Congress against one of the incumbent Democrats. Seems to me if the Democratic Party had gotten as radical as he claims and the Republican party fit his values better, he’d still run in Alabama.

The only African-American to run for statewide office in Alabama and not get 50% of the black vote.
