re: #199 Bass Reeves

The people who voted Brexit over economic concerns were simply lied to about the effect of Brexit on the economy. The people who lied to them wanted Brexit based on xenophobia and bigotry. The people who DIDN’T vote Brexit on economic concerns ALSO voted on xenophobia and bigotry. Brexit in no way enhances the financial situation of GB, and it was very obvious that it would not, so…no…there were no accurate economic concerns to support GB leaving the EU.

I think that is a valid interpretation. There were no accurate economic concerns. But in my view, there rarely are. I have never understood humans as rational economic actors.
