Oddly, people say the same of the left. Both statements are selectively true, although I would say that the right tends to dispose of its dictators when they become politically problematic, as you point out, and the left goes on championing increasingly irrelevant monsters until they drop dead of old age.

I would say, the support for increasingly irrelevant monsters is in direct proportion to the increasing irrelevance of said leftists.
