You know, there are a lot of success stories of people starting out with little to nothing, and that’s great but this candidate is totally ignoring what Obama said which was the truth. Our successes are not exclusively due to us alone. Steve Jobs doesn’t get successful with Apple without having willing customers, etc. Besides, it’s being shown that many of the businesspeople the GOP has strutted out to say “I built this” got help from the government.

Didn’t just get help from government, but their businesses don’t exist without the patronage of others. By saying “I built this,” you basically ignore that you have no business without customers. By saying “I built this,” you ignore that you had to hire people to do the work for you. And by saying “I built this,” you ignore that others had to build the infrastructure that your business depends upon.

“I built this” has gotta be the best example of the selfish mentality that guides the GOP today.
