P-38 Lightning, a combat classic. Good speed with its twin engines and plenty of firepower with 4 M2 .50 Caliber MGs and one Hispano 20mm cannon. The P-38 was use to shoot down Admiral Yamamoto and was also the plane of America’s two top WWII aces, Richard Bong (40 victories) and Thomas McGuire (39 victories).
