Well I suppose they could be looked at as Spartan. They’re probably just two country boys from middle America. It’s odd you know. Thinking. That it’s taken us close to 2,000 years to come around to even start accepting people whom are homosexual. People still get shocked it seems and respond like creatures of the wild.

Then again a lot of Americans are very prudish about any PDA even from straight people. Odd thing considering how most of are rather sexualized. From the preacher to the man on the street. Society imposes a great deal of opposing virtues. But the core instincts remain intact and thus practiced.

actually, i think all the attitudes you’re talking about took a turn for the worse in european/american society in the 19th century

ancient and tribal societies, and medieval europe, seem to have been better at these things…
