I’m agitating for the frnech Gendamerie and Italians to come over and bust some heads along the pavement.

Generally the public here is squeamish about “assertive” policing - but it has come to a point now that the Police will be given a “pass” by the public if any rioter happens to run into a police truncheon one time to many.

The French CRS are good at riot control. They’d be a good force to send. And Sarkozy has the right mindset about crime, so he will allow the uncompromising action needed to quell the riots.
