Must be Midwest thing. All of my mom’s side of the family all live in South Dakota and Minnesota. I first ate rhubarb pie as a very young child over Christmas at my mom’s relatives in rural SW Minnesota.

I love rhubarb pie. I’ll be in Vegas this weekend, do you think they’ll have some there? Been too long since I’ve had rhubarb pie.

I’m sure it is a Midwest thing. There are a lot of what you’d call “rustic” recipes around here, like the vinegar pie. Very meat and potatoes folk, us of the heartland.
