I don’t know about Bachmann’s chances. If the economy gets as bad as the Tea Baggers are trying to make it, the fence-sitters may catch anti-incumbent fever.

Perry is slime, but I don’t think he’ll go after Mitt’s record, since he is a former Democrat himself (I think.) I could totally see him going Mormon-bashing though, ala W’s ugly rumors about McCain’s black daughter in South Carolina in 2000.

Minor point - Bridget is not black (unless one is in Britain lol), she is from Bangladesh.

You could be right about Mitt’s record, but I just don’t see him passing up the chance to compare his hard right record to “Romneycare” and same sex marriage. Those are going to be gimmes to any front runner once the campaign season starts.
