Regarding this ridiculous bullshit about Freddie Gray breaking his own spine (in two places): Does anybody but me remember Arlo Guthrie doing a song about Steven Biko—I want to call it Joburg Jail—where a ZARP is telling the story of how they invited Biko down to headquarters for a friendly little chat, and while they were sitting there talking all agreeable and shit, he started beating himself up and ultimately threw himself out of the window?

I can’t find it on any album, or his website arlo.net, and the Google machine knows nothing about it. Maybe he only did it once on TV and I happened to see it? Seems relevant today, though.

Like when blacks in the south would hang themselves, light themselves on fire and force all those good Christian white patriots to stand around and gawk, take pictures, not get convicted of any crimes.
